How to Port Your Number to Jio

Reliance Jio took the world by storm when it was launched with mind-blowing schemes. It brought the existing high rates of mobile recharges down to a bare minimum. Reliance Jio turned out to be a tough competitor in world of mobile communication.

What to do to Port Number to Reliance Jio?


If you wish to port from your existing network to Reliance Jio, you need to follow the steps below:

1.You need to send a SMS from your existing network in the following format to 1900:
SMS PORT <10-digit mobile number> to 1900

2.A SMS will be sent to your message inbox that contains UPC code along with its expiry date.

3.Download MyJio app from Play Store or App Store and you will need to generate Jio coupon code.

4.Visit your nearest Jio store or Reliance Digitial/ Dx Mini or Jio retailer along with the unique porting code and the Jio coupon code and your handset.

5.Take along your Aadhaar card number and activate your new Jio connection using the eKYC process.

It takes at least 7 working days to be ported into Jio and you will be informed beforehand before your number is ported to Jio. You can continue to use your number until the process is complete. Once the process is complete, you will now be a customer of Reliance Jio without changing your existing mobile phone number.
